“In September 2022, approximately 2.25 million Ukrainian children were enrolled in educational institutions of EU countries. In September 2021, a total of 5.4 million children studied in Ukrainian schools and kindergartens, if where more than one million are in kindergartens. , and all others are in schools, that is, it is 43% of Ukrainian children who are outside Ukraine,” she noted.
According to him, currently 7.8 million Ukrainians are forced to leave and stay in European countries. Of these, 90% of the displaced are women and children.
Sakhno clarified that 6.5 million Ukrainians are internally displaced persons (IDPs), half of whom have received official IDP status, and this figure has hardly changed since March.
In addition, 40% of IDPs have jobs as of December 2022, the CEC representative added.
It should be noted that since February 24, 2022, more than 12 million Ukrainians have left our country to escape Russian aggression. Of these, approximately 7 million live in Europe.
