Russian forces have continued a course of intensive combat training at Belarusian training sites, the country’s Defense Ministry said.
The Russian military, which arrived in Belarus as part of the creation of a regional group of troops, will conduct tactical exercises in the battalion. This was reported on December 19 by the Interfax agency with reference to the RF Ministry of Defense.
It was noted that Russian forces at training sites in Belarus “continue the course of intensive combat training.”
“Combat training classes and combat coordination of units of the Western Military District are held during the day and at night. The speed of combat coordination of Russian military personnel of the regional grouping of forces in Belarus is high,” the department stressed.
The Russian Defense Ministry added that the order will provide a final description of the combat capability and combat readiness of the units at the final stage of coordination – after the battalion’s tactical exercises.
Recall that in October, the self-proclaimed leader of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko announced the deployment of a joint regional group of troops with the Russian Federation in the country “in connection with the escalation of the western borders of the Union State .”
