Didn’t break box office records. Avatar 2 earned $434 million worldwide

The first part of the film in 2009 collected 241.6 million dollars in the first five days after the premiere.

The American sci-fi film Avatar 2, directed by James Cameron, did not make as much of a splash as many thought. Bloomberg reported this.

The sequel is said to have grossed $134 million in North American theaters and $300.5 million worldwide for a $434.5 million worldwide debut.

Thus, Avatar 2 tied Batman as the fourth-biggest film debut of the year, behind Doctor Strange in The Multiverse of Madness ($187.4 million in May), Black Panther: Wakanda Forever ($181 million in November) and Thor : Love and Thunder. ($144.2 million in July).

It was previously reported that director James Cameron has revealed some details about the new sequel to Avatar: The Way of the Water.
