Norwegian organizations failed to bring a Russian, although they were required to participate in various events.
Human rights activists and public organizations in Norway lost the opportunity to invite colleagues from Russia to their events. Russians cannot get a Norwegian visa even if they are offered a job. This was reported by the Barents Observer.
According to media reports, for months the organizations have not been able to organize a single trip for the Russians invited for the events.
The first problem is getting the document. The truth is that it is impossible to get a slot at the visa center.
“Even if a person passes this stage, in the end he will still be rejected,” said the representative of the art space Terminal B.
At the same time, it was noted that the Russians were rejected, because in Norway they were afraid that they would not want to return to Russia. In September, visas were reportedly denied to participants in a Russian-Norwegian project to help cancer patients. Volunteers and patients were told they “did not have enough connections to return” to the Russian Federation.
As you know, on September 12, the decision of the EU Council to suspend the visa facilitation agreement with the Russian Federation took effect.
At the same time, some EU countries stopped issuing visas to tourists from Russia altogether.
