Explosions were heard in the Russian city of Belgorod on the morning of December 18, a column of smoke rose from one of the houses, the authorities announced the work of the air defense. Users reported it on social networks.
Later, the governor of the Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, said that one person died in the Belgorod region, and a total of 8 people were injured.
“Our air defense system worked in Belgorod and the Belgorod region. There were consequences on the ground … Medical teams are taking them (the wounded – ed.) to the hospital,” he said.
A Russian official said he was in the area. Gladkov also said there was one dead and one wounded in the Belgorod region. The poultry farm was destroyed.
According to preliminary data, as a result of shelling in the Belgorod region, 60 apartments, two private houses and 32 cars were damaged.
It will be recalled that after a large-scale missile attack in Ukraine on Friday morning, unknown objects fell near Volgograd in the Russian Federation. Local residents say it could be the remains of a rocket or a drone.
