APU repulsed more than 20 enemy attacks – General Staff

Missile and artillery units hit five areas of concentration of personnel, a command post and an ammunition depot of the enemy

Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled enemy attacks on more than 20 settlements in one day, including Ploshchanka, Chervonopopovka, Belogorivka, Luhansk region; Bakhmut, Nakaranas, Zelenopolya Andreevka, Maryinka, Pobeda, Novomikhailovka, Donetsk region. This was reported in the morning summary of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on December 17.

Over the past day, units of the Ukrainian missile forces and artillery hit five enemy concentration areas, a command post and an enemy ammunition depot.

It was also noted that the invaders launched a massive missile attack on Ukraine’s civilian and energy infrastructure. In total, the enemy fired 98 rockets and made more than 65 attacks from multiple rocket launch systems.

As stated in the summary of the General Staff, in the directions of Seversky and Slobozhansky, the invaders fired artillery in the areas of Gai settlements, Chernihiv region; Gavrilova Sloboda, Seredina-Buda, Yastrebinoye and Kondratovka in Sumy region and Strelechya, Staritsa, Barn, Olkhovatka, Dvurechnoe and Krasnoye of Kharkiv region.

In the direction of Kupyansk, the areas of Sinkovka, Orlyanka, Tabaevka, Berestovoye and Vishnevoye of the Kharkov region and Vladimirovka and Stelmahovka-Lugansk were exposed to fire.

In the Limansky direction, the enemy fired at the positions of our troops near Makeevka, Ploshchanka, Chervonopopovka, Dibrova and Gorny, Luhansk region.

In the direction of Bakhmut and Avdeevsky, the enemy shelled the areas of more than twenty-five settlements. Among them are Verkhnekamenskoye, Disputable, Belogorovka, Vesele, Soledar, Bakhmutskoye, Bakhmut, Experimental, Zheleznoye, Maryinka and Pervomayskoye in the Donetsk region.

In the direction of Novopavlovsky, the enemy inflicted fire losses near the settlements of Bogoyavlenka, Neskuchnoe, Prechistovka and Vuhledar in the Donetsk region.

In the direction of Zaporozhye and Kherson, the enemy continues to destroy the civilian infrastructure of the settlements on the right bank of the Dnieper River with artillery. More than 35 communities were stoned. In particular, Plavni, Gulyaipole, Dorozhnyanka, Olgovskoye and Nikopol in the Zaporozhye region and Chernobaevka, Antonovka, Kherson and Milove in the Kherson region.

It was previously reported that Russian troops carried out a mass strike on December 16 with dispersed forces to try to destroy the air defense system of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
