To approve the participation in the mission, it is necessary to get two-thirds of the votes, but four votes are not enough to reach the required number: of the 151 representatives, 97 supported the decision. Only ten people voted against, many parliamentarians abstained or did not take part in the vote.
Earlier, Croatian President Zoran Milanovic refused to sign a proposal to participate in the mission, saying it did not comply with the country’s constitution, and insisted that Croatia offer Ukraine exclusive humanitarian aid.
The vote was arranged to accommodate the President’s refusal. It is planned that about 100 Ukrainian soldiers will come to Croatia for training, and about 80 Croatian instructors will go to other EU countries to help train Ukrainians.
Earlier it was reported that in the Czech Republic began to train the Ukrainian military.
