Up to 10 Tu-95 strategic bombers were in the Caspian Sea area and launched missiles, journalist Andrey Tsaplienko warned.
An air alert was declared in all regions of Ukraine, including Kyiv. Citizens are warned about a possible missile attack by Russian aggressors. This is confirmed by data on the air alert map on Friday, December 16.
Authorities are urging citizens to ignore air raid alerts and head to shelter or safety.
Military journalist Andrei Tsaplienko wrote in Telegram that up to 10 Tu-95 strategic bombers were in the Caspian Sea and launched missiles.
The head of the Nikolaev OVA, Vitaly Kim, warned that the first missiles were coming in.
“We expect about 60 pieces. In the north, there is already a part on the territory of Ukraine. I also think that our air defense will shoot down at least 50+,” the head of the region wrote.
Recall that on December 5, Russian aggressors carried out the eighth large-scale missile attack on Ukraine. The enemy then launched a large-scale missile strike and damaged energy facilities in Kyiv, Vinnitsa and Odessa regions.
