An agreement on the Brazilian side would solve the problem of shortage of ammunition for about 50 tanks from Germany.
Brazil aims to sell Ukraine approximately 300,000 bullets for the German Gepard’s self-propelled anti-aircraft gun. This was reported on April 27 by Business Insider.
Earlier, Germany agreed to provide the Armed Forces with 50 Gepard anti-aircraft tanks, but manufacturer Kraus-Maffei Wegmann had only 23,000 shells left-that would have been enough for a few minutes of work.
Ukrainian Ambassador to Germany Andriy Melnyk said that without shells, ZSU would be useless, and in this case, Kyiv would have to leave them.
According to the publication, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has independently agreed to the supply of ammunition for German military equipment.
Recall, on April 26, the media reported that the German government would allow the supply of Gepard ZSU to Ukraine. And on April 28, the Bundestag voted in favor of providing the Ukrainian side with heavy weapons.
