A law enforcement officer from Liman, Donetsk region, who was forced to illegally detain citizens to collect the bodies of the dead, was notified of suspicion of treason. He faces up to life in prison. It was reported on December 15 by the State Bureau of Investigation.

“Employees of the State Bureau of Investigation reported suspicion on a law enforcement officer from Liman, Donetsk region, who, after the Russian invasion, began working for the occupiers. He refused to evacuate to city ​​and went to cooperate with the invaders. The man received a position in the so-called “town police,” the report said.

It was noted that, on the orders of the occupation authorities, the defendant transported illegally detained citizens to places of forced labor, forced people to collect the bodies of the dead and perform other tasks.

It was also reported that eight police officers from the Kherson region were suspected of treason.
