The US is working on the next military aid package for Kyiv and will announce what will be included when it is ready.

So far, the White House has not been able to confirm media reports about the delivery of Patriot missile systems to Kyiv. This was announced at a briefing on Wednesday, December 14, by White House spokesman John Kirby, Rai News reports.

“I cannot confirm the media reports about the potential supply of a Patriot battery to Ukraine. We have always been transparent about the weapons packages we have sent and will send to Kyiv,” Kirby said.

According to him, the US is working on the next package of military aid to Kyiv and will announce what it will include when they are ready for it.

“The only thing I’d like to add is that we’ve been prioritizing air defenses lately,” Kirby said, adding that it was a pressing need for the Ukrainians.

Earlier, a Voice of America correspondent told the Pentagon, citing an anonymous source in the US defense department, that the Pentagon intends to send Patriot missile defense systems to Ukraine.
