The government expects to carry out the maximum replacement of old lamps with new lamps during the winter season.
The Cabinet of Ministers intends to replace old incandescent lamps for new energy-saving LED lamps from partner countries by the end of winter. This was announced on Tuesday, December 13, by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal at a press conference in Paris, reports Ukrinform.
“We expect to start receiving LED lamps at the end of this year. And during the winter, we will replace all numbers of these lamps,” said Shmyhal.
He added that it is planned to replace 20-25 million lamps in the population through the exchange.
They will also replace lamps in the social sphere, schools, hospitals, kindergartens, infrastructure facilities.
It was previously reported that Europe will allocate funds for the purchase of approximately 30 million light-emitting diode lamps (LED) for Ukraine.
Remember, today President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Ukraine needs emergency support from the European energy system in the amount of up to 2 GW during the heating season this winter.
