Bad weather and new attacks negatively affect the state of high voltage and distribution networks and significantly complicate the work of repair teams.

As of December 13, a difficult situation remains in Ukraine’s energy system. Power shortages remain significant. This was reported by Ukrenergo.

It is noted that the deterioration of weather conditions throughout the country (strong wind, frost, sticking wet snow, icing of wires) negatively affects the state of high voltage and distribution networks and significant complexity in the work of repair teams.

“In the east, the enemy opened fire again in some areas, causing damage to energy infrastructure facilities. Repairs will begin after the permission of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. At the same time, settlements were healed in the territories unoccupied, some of which have been left without electricity since the beginning of a massive invasion,” the statement said. in the message.

The company also noted that all oblenergos are aware of power consumption limits.

Remember that Kyiv lacks more than a third of electricity.

It was also reported that a memorandum of cooperation was signed between Ukrenergo and the Energy Community Secretariat to compensate Russia for damage to Ukraine’s energy system.
