President Volodymyr Zelensky invited Russia to stop the aggression and withdraw troops by Christmas. He spoke about this in his speech at the G7 summit.
“Before the holidays celebrated by billions of people: Christmas according to the Gregorian calendar, New Year’s, Christmas according to the Julian calendar. This is the time when normal people think about peace, not about aggression. I suggest that Russia try at least to prove that it can turn away the aggression. It is right this Christmas to start withdrawing Russian troops from the internationally recognized territory of Ukraine. Sure,” Zelensky said.
He also emphasized that the answer from Moscow will show exactly what the Russian side wants – peace or war.
Addressing the G7 participants, Zelensky emphasized that Ukraine needs modern tanks and more artillery and long-range missiles.
