The head of the Foreign Ministry said that to survive the winter, Ukraine needs generators and transformers.
Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba considers a complete blackout in Ukraine a very realistic scenario. At the same time, the Ukrainian authorities do not expect a mass exodus of residents. He said this in an interview with the German edition of ARD.
According to Kuleba, Russia’s widespread attacks on electricity supply facilities put the government and people in front of big problems, especially in winter. But even with a complete blackout, Ukrainians will not leave the country en masse. An influx of people to the countryside is possible, where it is possible to heat with firewood.
According to the Foreign Minister, to survive the winter, Ukraine needs generators and transformers.
Recall that the mayor of Kyiv, Vitali Klitschko, has allowed a possible “apocalypse” scenario in the capital this winter if Russia’s attacks on infrastructure continue.
According to the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Denys Shmygal, 40% of the high-voltage network facilities in Ukraine were damaged as a result of the massive Russian strikes.
