The Bethlehem Fire of Peace arrived in Ukraine on Sunday, September 11.
He was the first in the Transcarpathian region to meet with employees of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine and Ukrainian scouts. Candles and lamps were lit from the fire delivered by the scouts from Vienna to the Slovak Ublja checkpoint. This was reported in the State Border Service of Ukraine.
It is noted that after congratulations, the scouts took the Bethlehem fire across the territory of Ukraine. In addition, the military chaplain delivered the sacred fire to the chapel of the Chop detachment, from where it will be distributed by border units.
On the air of “Public” noted that the fire has already arrived in Kyiv, it is handed out to everyone in St. Michael’s Cathedral. And Ukrzaliznytsia noted that on December 12-13, the fire will go from Kyiv to regional centers, as well as Kramatorsk and Konotop.
As you know, the Bethlehem Peace Fire is an international annual scout action for the celebration of the Nativity of Christ, which consists in spreading a symbolic fire lit at the birthplace of Jesus Christ.
Recall that on December 7, the mayor of Lviv, Sadovy, met with the Pope and handed him a cross with a fragment of a Russian rocket pulled out of the body of a thirteen-year-old girl Nastya.
