In the churches and skete, found things that are not for the purpose of the church, in addition, suspicious people were in one of the things.
The SBU found suspicious persons, unregistered Russian weapons and disturbances at UOC-MP facilities in Kyiv and Kherson regions. This was reported by the press service of the SBU.
“As a result of a check on the territory of Pustynno-Nikolaevsky Skete, located in the forbidden Chernobyl zone, 16 suspicious people were found. Among them were able-bodied men. They were in the facility illegally, because civilians do not have the right to be in the exclusion zone, because of which the Rashists tried to enter Kiev in February-March of this year,” the SBU reported.
Protocols on administrative offenses are drawn up against them, and involvement in crimes against state security is being investigated.
“In the attic of the same facility, SBU officers found a camouflage net, often used for military purposes: to mask weapons, equipment and engineering structures,” the statement said.
In the diocese of Kherson, objects not intended for church purposes were also found.
“In the area of the diocese of Kherson, a gun was found without appropriate permits, a flag and a golden coat of arms of Russia. The special service is also considering information about some clerics who are probably dealing with relations with citizens of the Russian Federation and Belarus. In addition, law enforcement officers found propaganda materials in which Russia is glorified,” the SBU reported.
Earlier it was reported that the profile committee of the Verkhovna Rada supported the banning of UOC-MP in Ukraine.
