According to the order of the Kyiv City State Administration, DTEK Kyiv Electric Networks has added another 454 residential buildings in Kyiv to the shutdown schedule.
The balance-holders of these houses, which are in line with critical infrastructure, will turn off on their own during emergency or stabilization schedules.
Shutdowns will be carried out by power engineers of the housing-construction cooperative and management companies. On December 7, DTEK reported that such an independent blackout would reduce the number and duration of blackouts for all Kyivans.
Currently, during emergency or stabilization shutdowns, along with critical infrastructure facilities, residential buildings powered by the same power lines do not fall under shutdown.
DTEK “Kyiv Electricity Networks” together with the Kyiv City State Administration suggested that housing cooperatives independently limit the power supply in such houses in accordance with the schedules and agreed with this.
Responsibility for the timely shutdown and restoration of power supply to houses is borne by the power engineers of housing cooperatives and their management companies.
