The head of the PMC believes that video hosting is used to spread fakes about the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, as well as state authorities and administrations.
The head of PMC Wagner Yevgeny Prigozhin, who recruited criminals for the war on the territory of Ukraine, requested that the Prosecutor General’s Office investigate the activities of video hosting on YouTube. In his opinion, the company “spreads information aimed at creating a threat to the ability of national defense and state security.” This was announced on Monday, December 5, by his press service.
“Prigozhin sent to the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation Krasnov Igor an appeal with a request to review the activities of video hosting on Youtube, as well as consider declaring the activities of the American company Google LLC undesirable on the territory of the Russian Federation, dissemination of information aimed at creating a threat to the national defense capability and state security,” the statement said. in the message.
The work of the companies on the territory of the Russian Federation, according to Mr. Prigozhin, “creates a threat of widespread violation of public order.”
This is not Prigozhin’s first appeal to Krasnov: a message with a request to restrict access to YouTube on the territory of the Russian Federation was sent to him at the end of October.
Recall that the head of the mercenary army of the Wagner PMC, Yevgeny Prigozhin, is thinking about creating a kind of “conservative movement” in Russia, which may eventually become a political party.
