The 45th President of the United States, Donald Trump, has called for an end to the Constitution to allow the 2020 election to be canceled and reinstate him as president, following the publication of an internal letter on Twitter about the role of the social network on the election campaign, CNN reports.
“Do you cancel the results of the 2020 Presidential Election and declare the RIGHT WINNER, or do you have a NEW ELECTION? Massive fraud of this type and scale allows the termination of all rules, regulations and articles, even those content of the Constitution,” Trump wrote on his social media Truth Social network.
Trump’s post comes after the release of internal communications from Twitter workers revealing a 2020 discussion by The New York Post tabloid about material found on Hunter’s son Joe Biden’s laptop.
The material revealed the content of emails allegedly sent by Hunter Biden. According to the newspaper, Hunter Biden introduced his father, then vice president, to an adviser to the leadership of the Ukrainian energy company Burisma, whose board of directors includes the younger Biden.
The publication said that this letter contradicts Joe Biden’s statement that he did not talk to his son about his businesses in Ukraine.
Twitter’s legal, policy and communications departments debated whether to restrict distribution of The New York Post article in accordance with the company’s hacked content policy. The discussions took place weeks before the 2020 election when Joe Biden ran against Trump.
Twitter’s new owner Elon Musk called the publication of internal documents evidence that the social network was censored and that its employees were biased against opponents of the Democratic Party.
