The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny spoke on the phone with the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the United States, General Mark Milley, and told him about the situation at the front. This was announced on Saturday, December 3, on the Facebook page of the Commander-in-Chief.
“He shared his assessments of the situation at the front and the security risks posed by the massive Russian missile attack. He detailed our requests for weapons and equipment, air defense and missile defense systems. he that despite the difficult conditions of the war, we continue the fight until victory,” – wrote Zaluzhny.
He also thanked General Milley for the significant efforts he is personally making, Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin and US President Joe Biden to meet the needs of the Ukrainian Defense Forces in countering Russian aggression.
The British Ministry of Defense reported that the Russian invaders are not abandoning their attempts to destroy the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the eastern front. However, Ukrainian fighters are conducting counter-attacks on the invaders.
Earlier, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said that Russia cannot defeat Ukraine. He reaffirmed his commitment to support the Ukrainian people as long as necessary.
At the same time, the chancellor allowed the escalation of the war in Ukraine, which may consist in the destruction of infrastructure.
