The SBU, during an inspection of the Chernivtsi-Bukovina diocese of the UOC-MP, found a computer with pornographic material.
Unknown people in the territory of the Chernivtsi-Bukovina diocese of the UOC-MP keep child pornography. This was reported by LB.ua, citing sources in the Security Service of Ukraine on Saturday, December 3.
The SBU added that criminal proceedings were initiated on this fact under the article Having access to child pornography, its acquisition, storage, importation, transportation or other movement, production, sale and distribution.
We are talking about the head of the diocesan administration of Chernivtsi-Bukovina, Metropolitan Meletia (Egorenko) and the secretary of Archimandrite Nikita (Storozhuk), the source said.
During searches of the premises of the diocesan administration, child pornography was found on a laptop, which, according to preliminary data, was not downloaded from the Internet, but shot on a video camera.
The officers confiscated the equipment and sent it for a computer-technical examination, based on the results of which further investigative actions are planned to identify the people involved in the crime.
As we have already reported, the SBU has completed counterintelligence activities at the UOC-MP facilities located in the Transcarpathian, Rivne and Zhytomyr regions. As a result, warehouses with pro-Kremlin literature, Nazi symbols, “the doctrine of Satanism” and texts of prayers for Patriarch Kirill were found on the territory of the dioceses.
In addition, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky decided to impose personal sanctions against a number of UOC-MP representatives.
