“The bishop is a member of the inner circle of Patriarch Kirill of Moscow, where he coordinates the spread of pro-Kremlin views in the region. For this, the metropolitan is in constant contact with the Russian leader Orthodox Church and brought his instructions about the justification of the Russian aggression and the seizure of part of the territory of Ukraine, especially the Autonomous Republic of Crimea,” – said the message.
According to the SBU, the metropolitan received instructions from Moscow “in the form of written circulars”, as well as in personal meetings in Russia.
“In community churches, hostile propaganda literature was distributed to the people, printed in thousands of copies in the printing presses of the aggressor country. In these books, the Russian authors” were ” questioned the Ukrainian state and praised the Kremlin regime,” the message said.
In addition, on the territory of the diocese, law enforcement officials “found a large number of printed materials and documents of the enemy without the hands of Moscow” curators “.
The collected evidence base makes it possible to raise suspicion against the head of the church under Part 1 of Art. 161 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – Violation of the equality of citizens depending on their race, nationality, regional affiliation, religious belief, disability and other grounds.
