Russian intelligence agencies are preparing a plan to “pacify” the population after the occupation of all of Ukraine, according to a report by the British Royal United Armed Forces Institute (RUSI).
At the beginning of a large-scale invasion of Ukraine, the military-political leadership of the Russian Federation planned not only to occupy the territory and overthrow the government, but also prepared mass killings of citizens during the intervention. This was stated on Thursday, December 1, in a report by the British Royal United Armed Forces Institute (RUSI).
The authors of the report are RUSI researchers Jack Watling and Nick Reynolds, former adviser to the heads of the Ministry of Defense and Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine Oleksandr Danilyuk, and ex-commander of the Airborne Assault Forces Mykhailo Zabrodsky.
The authors of the document said that the Kremlin expected that after a lightning strike, Ukrainian officials would flee or be captured, and society would not have time to act to fight the invasion.
Separately, the task is to arrest or destroy the participants in the Revolution of Dignity in 2013-2014. At the same time, Russia’s FSB is supposed to suppress local functionaries and filter the civilian population.
Ukrainians are planned to be divided into four main categories:
-
Irreconcilable. They were planned to be killed;
-
Not honest. They had to be persuaded or intimidated;
-
Neutral. It should be encouraged to cooperate;
-
Completely honest. They must immediately work for the invaders.
The report also states that a key element of the plan for a full-scale invasion of Ukraine was inciting treason among the highest command staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In turn, in Twitter The adviser to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Mykhailo Podolyak, said that the Kremlin was preparing massacres of citizens during the intervention.
He clarified that this was confirmed by a preliminary review of documents on the initiation of Russia’s “special operation”, as the Kremlin calls the large-scale war against Ukraine.
“A preliminary analysis of the documents” about the beginning of the SVO “says that Russia planned to occupy Central Ukraine, destroy the government, kill thousands of people (Bucha everywhere), remove the traces and pass it on to the media as a “liberation,” the publication said.
Podolyak added that after Ukraine’s victory, this evidence will be examined by an international tribunal.
Earlier, analysts said Moscow planned that the active phase of a full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine would last 10 days. After that, Russia wants to occupy the country to organize the annexation of Ukrainian territories until August.
