The military says there is a group of Russian ships in the Black Sea and the threat of shelling from invaders remains.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine warned about the threat of a missile strike in the near future, OK Yug reported that a group of Russian ships is still in the Black Sea. This was announced by the Deputy Chief of the Main Operational Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Brigadier General Alexei Gromov at a briefing on Thursday, December 1.
“There is still a threat of a missile attack on critical infrastructure and military facilities of Ukraine in the near future. The enemy’s goal is to cause panic among the population in order to destabilize the internal situation,” he said.
According to him, within a week the crew of the Russian Tu 95 MC strategic bombers flew in the airspace of the Saratov, Samara and Orenburg regions, as well as in the airspace of the eastern part of the Russian Federation and the Barents Sea.
The head of the OK Yug press center, Natalya Gumenyuk, on the air of a national news telethon, warned about the presence of a group of Russian ships in the Black Sea and the threat of missile strikes.
He also noted that such actions by Russian invaders could be “psychological pressure” on Ukrainians.
“The presence of a naval group in the Black Sea means that aerial reconnaissance continues, and the collection (of data – ed.) of the situation, and preparations for a possible missile attack. Because the ( Russian – ed.) launch vehicles are equipped, ready, and the fact that they occasionally go to the base points, it can speak of a response to the weather, because the storm situation is very new, ” said Gumenyuk.
It should be noted that the representative of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense, Vadim Skibitsky, warned the day before that the Russians were looking for targets and preparing their missiles for a new massive strike on Ukraine.
