The President asserted that it is important for people to understand when and for how long their electricity will be turned off.

President Volodymyr Zelensky demanded that energy companies make the situation with power outages as predictable and fair as possible for all citizens. He said this in an evening speech to Ukrainians on Wednesday, November 30.

Zelensky said that during the night, about six million subscribers in most regions of Ukraine and Kiev were disconnected from electricity.

According to him, the situation remains very difficult in the capital, as well as in the Kiev region, in the regions of Vinnitsa, Lvov, Odessa, Khmelnytsky and Cherkasy.

Energy and public utilities, all services are doing everything to stabilize the system and provide people with more energy for a long time, Zelensky assured.

“And I want to emphasize again: it is very important that people understand when and for how long their electricity will be out. This is the responsibility of the energy companies themselves and of the local authorities. It is the right of the people to know. And as much as possible today, the predictability of life must be ensured. People see that in neighboring houses or in neighboring streets, for some reason, there are different rules about light. But there must be justice and clarity,” Zelensky stressed.

He also said that on Wednesday he held a meeting on energy and communication.

“We are fixing the results of what has already been done to protect our systems. We are preparing new solutions. We are also preparing new solutions to prevent any possibility of Russia manipulating Ukraine’s internal life,” said Zelensky, promising to elaborate. it’s in due time.

Let’s remind you, today it was reported that oblenergo will look into the blackout schedules. Gosenergonadzor during martial law will conduct unscheduled inspections of energy facilities.

On the eve it was reported that the Cabinet of Ministers issued two tasks for oblenergos. At the same time, it was noted that it is necessary to evenly distribute the load of forced loss among all consumers, so that people turn on the light for at least 5-6 hours a day.
