The head of the Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, on the night of Wednesday, April 27, said that a fire had occurred at an ammunition depot near the center of the region.
Around 3:35 a.m., he was “awakened by a loud sound like an explosion,” according to the governor. According to him, three more explosions were heard soon.
“I just contacted the head of the Golovinsky rural settlement, Denis Zolotukhin. According to preliminary information, an ammunition depot was burning near the village of Staraya Nelidovka. There were no damages of residential buildings, no houses. No houses. No casualties to the civilian population, ”Gladkov wrote.
