The head of the German Ministry of Defense told his Ukrainian counterpart that Berlin supports Kyiv in the fight against Russian aggression.

German Defense Minister Christine Lambrecht met with Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov on the sideline of the summit at the Ramstein military base on Tuesday, April 26. This was reported by the press service of the German department.

“We stand next to Ukraine,” Minister Lambrecht told his Ukrainian counterpart Oleksiy Reznikov in a personal conversation. The Ramstein conference clearly demonstrated that NATO and the EU are together and continue to support Ukraine, ”the report said.

It will be recalled that Germany refused to transfer heavy weapons to Ukraine to deal with Russia. However, a day before it was learned that the German government would allow the supply of the FlakPz Gepard self-propelled anti-aircraft gun from its industrial stocks.
