Immigrants make up one in five people in the Paris region (19.8% in 2018) and this percentage is growing (+2.5 percentage points over 10 years). In regions, in cities with more than 5,000 inhabitants, this progress is slower (+1.09 points) and therefore more restrained. However, this average hides significant differences between municipalities. Some see that the proportion of foreign-born in their population is increasing very sharply.
