The most recent figure discussed by EU representatives was $62 per barrel. Negotiations continue this week.
In the European Union, on Monday, November 28, they could not reach an agreement on the upper limit of the price of Russian oil. Journalist Rikard Jozwiak reported it in Twitter.
“There is no agreement on the Russian oil quota with the EU ambassadors today. The final figure is $62 per barrel. Negotiations will continue this week,” Yozvyak wrote.
Meanwhile, Russian oil prices fell below the proposed price ceiling. Thus, the price of Urals oil at the end of last week fell to $51.96 per barrel in the port of Primorsk.
As you know, the G7 countries and Australia have temporarily agreed to set a maximum fixed price for Russian oil at the end of November.
