By the end of the week, electrical engineers were able to stabilize the operation of Ukraine’s energy system, but the electricity deficit remained at the level of 20%. Currently the electrical repairs are still ongoing. This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal on his Facebook page on Sunday, November 27.
“At the end of the week, we were able to stabilize the operation of the energy system. The lack of capacity remains at the level of about 20%. More than 1,000 specialists are working every day to repair the networks,” said officer
According to him, the EBRD and the Netherlands are allocating EUR 372 million to NPC Ukrenergo for immediate damage repair from Russian attacks.
Norway is also allocating EUR 200 million to Ukraine’s NJSC Naftogaz for gas purchases. In addition, the EBRD will provide an additional 300 million euros for these purposes.
The head of the government added that the Cabinet of Ministers transferred UAH 12.7 billion to Naftogaz for the additional purchase of blue fuel in our storage facilities.
He also added that in one week Ukraine received 2.5 billion euros from the European Union. In addition, Canada issued bonds worth $500 million, the proceeds from which will be transferred to Ukraine.
Remember, earlier Shmyhal said that the damage to NPC Ukrenergo due to Russian shelling is more than 70 billion hryvnia.
