It is reported that while carrying out tasks, border guards noticed traces leading from Belarus, after which they found and detained six foreigners – citizens of Pakistan and Bangladesh.
“The detained men said that they were taken in a car to the Ukrainian border by people in military uniforms, who they assumed were representatives of the border service of the Republic of Belarus. Then they were told where to follow the migrants,” the report said.
It turned out that the men were in contact with the Belarusian security forces, who showed them the way, and also ordered them to call after illegally crossing the Ukrainian border and report their whereabouts.
“This is also confirmed by correspondence with messengers on the phones of foreigners. According to travelers, before that they unsuccessfully tried to get to Poland, also with the help of Belarusian law enforcement officials. However , the migrants did not make a long journey, immediately after illegally crossing the border they were detained by the border guards of Ukraine,” – added the State Border Guard Service.
