Military actions that threaten nuclear security in Ukraine must be stopped, urged Rafael Grossi.
The nuclear safety situation in Ukraine is becoming increasingly uncertain. Military actions that threaten the security of the country’s nuclear facilities must be stopped immediately. About that expressed IAEA Director Rafael Grossi on his Twitter account on Friday, November 25.
“The complete and simultaneous loss of external power supply to Ukrainian nuclear power plants shows that the situation with nuclear safety in the country is becoming increasingly unstable, complex and potentially dangerous,” he said.
According to him, this is the first time that all stations have lost external power at the same time.
“This was unthinkable before this tragic war. And it is very worrying. All military actions that threaten the security of Ukraine’s nuclear facilities must be stopped immediately,” Grossi stressed.

Recall that IAEA experts have come to all Ukrainian nuclear power plants to provide support and assistance to personnel.
In addition, on November 23, as a result of the frequency drop, all power units of these stations were automatically disconnected from the power grid.
