Beijing has offered Washington to “dissuade Moscow from a nuclear strike” if only Ukraine does not receive fighter jets, the media assured.
The reason Poland decided not to transfer MiG-29 fighter jets to Ukraine in May was China’s promise to the United States in return to “prevent Russia from a nuclear strike.” This is what The Spectator said, citing sources close to the PRC leadership.
Beijing and Washington have agreed that if Ukraine does not receive these fighters, China will neutralize Russia’s nuclear threat “at the operational level,” according to the media.
“It worked. The US decided that giving up the aircraft was going too far,” said a Chinese source.
As previously reported, the Czech Republic approved the patrolling of Slovakia’s airspace with its fighters. This decision will help speed up the transfer of Slovak MiG-29 to Ukraine.
In addition, two Russian fighter jets made “unsafe and unprofessional overflights” of NATO ships during routine operations in the Baltic Sea.
