After nine months of a bloody full-scale war, the aggressor country remains one of the members of the PA.
The permanent delegation of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly will boycott the work of the organization because it does not want to expel the Russian representatives. On Friday, November 25, a member of the delegation, a representative from Servant of the People Yevgenia Kravchuk wrote about it on Facebook.
According to Kravchuk, the Permanent Committee of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly was unable to change its rules to expel the Russian delegation.
“From now on, we, the Ukrainian delegation, boycott the work in the OSCE PA until the international organization forms its attitude about the participation of the Russians in it – propagandists and representatives of a terrorist state, a state of the criminal,” Kravchuk said.
In protest, representatives of Estonia and Lithuania, along with Ukrainian delegates, left the standing committee meeting.
The 20th meeting of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly is taking place in Warsaw. Poland did not issue a visa to the Russian delegation, which was intended to take part in the meetings. The Ukrainian delegation proposed to amend the regulations, allowing Russia’s withdrawal of power.
Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky called on the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe to be a leader in the fight against Russian terrorism.
