On November 22, Russian troops shelled the city of Orekhov. A social worker was killed and two women were injured as a result of a direct hit on a humanitarian aid distribution point located in the school premises.
There could have been much more victims, but this was prevented due to the lack of queues, said Oleksandr Starukh, chairman of the Zaporozhye OVA. Kirill Timoshenko, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Office, wrote in a Telegram that the other participants were saved by the fact that they went down to the shelter in time.
There is also cynicism in the fact that the shelling took place right at the time when peaceful people came for help on a schedule. No moral guidelines – an army of criminals, – Tymoshenko wrote.
Head of the Office of the President Andriy Yermak also reacted to the shelling of Orekhov. He called it a pitiful racist tactic.
Earlier, Starukh said that the Russians were holding 219 residents of the region captive.
The invader kidnapped 559 Ukrainian citizens, 219 of whom are still held hostage, he said.
