The Ukrainian side has been at war with the Russian Orthodox Church for a long time, complained Dmitry Peskov.

The searches at the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra are another link in Ukraine’s “chain of military actions” against “Russian Orthodoxy.” This statement was made by Kremlin Speaker Dmitry Peskov at a briefing on Tuesday, November 22, TASS reports.

“The Ukrainian side has been at war with the Russian Orthodox Church for a long time, and I would say that this can be seen as another link in the chain of these military actions against Russian Orthodoxy,” Peskov said.

Earlier on Tuesday, it became known that the SBU was conducting inspections on the territory of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra. This is due to countering the subversive activities of the Russian special services in Ukraine.

Later it became known that the SBU was carrying out similar actions in the monasteries of the Rivne region.
