The Hungarian minister flew to Sochi to take part in the Atomexpo organized by state-owned Rosatom.
On the evening of Monday, November 21, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto flew to the Russian city of Sochi. In Russia, he plans to participate in the Atomexpo forum. The Hungarian official announced this on his official Facebook page.
“The night is still far away, but we have to go. I have a meeting in Sochi in the morning. Atomexpo is one of the most important meetings of the nuclear industry. In the context of the global energy crisis, it is unprecedentedly important to produce the country the required amount of energy. The Paks nuclear power plant plays an important role in our energy security,” said the Foreign Minister.
It should be noted that Rosatom is the organizer of the Atomexpo forum, which will be held on November 21-22.
As is known, in August this year, Rosatom received permission from the Hungarian Atomic Energy Authority for the construction of the Paks-2 nuclear power plant.
We previously reported that, according to Szijjártó, the European Union’s imposition of sanctions against Russia was allegedly a “big mistake” and it “caused damage to EU countries.”
