The incumbent president won the presidential election by a giant margin, as evidenced by the results of three polls.
Data from three exit polls in Kazakhstan testify to the victory in the presidential election of Kasim-Jomart Tokayev, who is now president. This was reported on Sunday evening, November 20, by the Kazakh service of Radio Liberty.
So, according to the first exit poll from the international institute for regional studies Open Society, Kasim-Zhomart Tokayev won 82.45 percent of the vote. The second place is occupied by the “against all” option. Those who voted for him – 5.2 percent of the vote.

The third exit poll from the Institute for Comprehensive Social Research SOCIS-A shows that Tokayev has 82.02 percent, “against everyone” – 4.22 percent.
According to preliminary data from the Central Election Commission, 69.43 percent of the total number of citizens included in the lists received ballot papers. In total, more than 8.29 million people are considered to have taken part in voting. The highest turnout was recorded in the Zhetis region – 81.42 percent. The lowest turnout in Almaty was 28.72 percent.
Kazakhstan’s presidential election took place against a backdrop of complaints from independent observers about violations of the electoral process and suppression of activists.
Recall, on November 20, early presidential elections were held in Kazakhstan. At the same time, elections are conducted according to a new system – the president is elected for seven years without the right to re-election. The relevant amendments to the Constitution were adopted by the Parliament of Kazakhstan in September.
As reported, on September 1, Tokayev proposed to hold snap elections for the head of state in Kazakhstan this fall. He announced his willingness to go to early elections, despite reducing the president’s own term of office.
