Every Ukrainian without paying duties and VAT can import a generator or charging station from another country.
The Cabinet of Ministers considers all possible scenarios due to the attack of a terrorist state on the Ukrainian energy system, in particular, it will enable the import of energy-generating assets, said Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal on Facebook.
From now on, every Ukrainian without paying duties and VAT can import a generator or charging station from abroad. Today, around 8.5 thousand generating sets are imported daily.
The prime minister added that Ukraine receives financial support from partners.
“Canada has issued five-year government bonds worth 500 million Canadian dollars. Everyone can join in strengthening our state. The government has decided to attract an additional 4.5 billion dollars in grant funds from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the International Development Association. We will direct these resources to social security and public sector salaries. Next week, Ukraine will also receive 2.5 billion euros from the European Union,” the statement said.
The Government has also allocated UAH 100 million for the priority restoration of the occupied Kherson region.
It will be recalled that Spain provided a batch of generators to make it easier for Ukraine to cope with the consequences of the Russian missile attack on the country’s energy sector.
