With the help of such messages, the enemy is trying to divert the attention of Ukrainians from the missile attack on the energy system.
The enemy is spreading false information that Kyiv is allegedly exporting electricity to EU countries amid blackouts in Ukraine. This was announced on November 20 by the Center for Counteracting Disinformation under the National Security and Defense Council.
It was noted that with the help of such messages, the Russian Federation is trying to deceive the Ukrainians and divert public attention from the only cause of the situation – a missile attack on the country’s energy system.
“The fact that the disseminated information is fake is confirmed by the following facts: the export of electricity from Ukraine stopped on October 11, 2022 by the decision of the Ministry of Energy, immediately after the first attack in the energy system; the cessation of exports was confirmed by the results of the auctions for access to the bandwidth of interstate networks, which are on the electronic auction platform Ukrainergo“, – emphasis on CPD.
The Center added that all available Ukrainian generation capacities are now operating only for the needs of Ukrainian consumers.
Earlier it was reported that Ukraine made a second test supply of electricity from Europe.
At the moment, the import of electricity is not of a commercial nature, but is carried out to check the ability to receive electricity from Slovakia in case of unforeseen circumstances, ECU said.
Recall that on November 15, the Russian Federation launched a massive missile attack on the territory of Ukraine, as a result of which energy infrastructure facilities were seriously damaged.
