Emergency teams are gradually removing the consequences of Russia’s attack on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure. This was announced by President Volodymyr Zelensky in an evening video message on Friday, November 18.
“During the day, electrical engineers worked to restore the normal technical possibility of supplying electricity, thanks to which there are now fewer emergency outages. At night, hourly stabilization schedules are is in effect in most areas where blackouts continue,” Zelensky said.
According to him, emergency shutdowns are mainly used in the Odessa and Kyiv regions.
“Kyiv and Kyiv region, very poor – Odesa region, and also Vinnitsa and Ternopil regions,” said the president, noting that the difficult situation with energy supply continues in 17 regions in total.
On Friday night, DTEK reported that they were able to stabilize the energy system in Kyiv.
It will be remembered that Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said that almost half of Ukraine’s energy system is disabled.
