Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin will fly to Armenia next week to take part in the CSTO summit. This was announced by Putin’s press secretary Dmitry Peskov at a press conference on Friday, November 18.
The summit of the heads of the CSTO member states will be held in the capital of Armenia on Wednesday, November 23, under the leadership of the Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan.
The CSTO press service on its Telegram channel stated that one of the most important issues of the summit was “improving the CSTO crisis response system and discussing joint measures to provide assistance to the Republic of Armenia.”
The organization states that during the session it planned to adopt a declaration and sign a number of documents. In particular, about “providing peacekeeping forces with modern weapons, military and special equipment, the joint development of radiation, chemical and biological protection.”
