The meeting with the leaders of the “five” will take place on the sidelines of the Asia-Pacific summit, which began in Bangkok.

A US administration official said US Vice President Kamala Harris will hold urgent talks with the leaders of Japan, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand and Canada. They will consider launching an intercontinental ballistic missile by the DPRK. Writing about it AFP.

It is known that the meeting with the leaders of the “five” will take place on the sidelines of the Asia-Pacific summit, which began in Bangkok.

Remember that on Friday, November 18, North Korea launched an intercontinental ballistic missile.

According to Yonhap, it is a large Hwasong-17 missile that can carry multiple warheads and has a range of up to 15,000 km. This is enough to reach any point on the US mainland.

The launch came just 24 hours after North Korean Foreign Minister Choi Song-hee warned that Pyongyang would take “tougher” measures if the US continues to strengthen ties with Seoul.

The US Army Indo-Pacific Command said it “condemned” Friday’s launch and called on Pyongyang to refrain from “any further illegal and destabilizing actions.”

As previously reported, the DPRK explained the missile launches by simulating strikes in the United States and South Korea.
