During the day, the enemy launched five air and 25 missile strikes, making more than 10 attacks from multiple launch rocket systems.
The Russian invaders, violating the norms of International Humanitarian Law, the laws and customs of war, launched rocket attacks on civilian infrastructure in the settlements of Dnipro and Odessa, Balakleya in the Kharkiv region , Volnyansk in Zaporozhye region, Nikopol in Dnepropetrovsk region and Ochakov in Mykolaiv region. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this in the evening report on November 17.
According to the updated information, the Defense Forces shot down two cruise missiles, two guided missiles and five Shahed-136 UAVs in different directions.
In the directions of Volyn and Polesye, the situation has not changed significantly.
In other directions, the enemy carried out shelling:
- in the direction of Slobozhansky – from tanks and the entire range of artillery in the areas of the settlements of Ambarne, Glubokoe, Dvuhletnaya, Dugouts, Kolodyaznoe, Krasnoye, Kupyansk, Staritsa, Strelka and Figolovka of the Kharkiv region;
- in the directions of Kupyansky and Limansky – for different caliber artillery in the areas of Berestovo, Kislovka, Kotlyarovka, Starch, Peschanoe and Tabaevka settlements of Kharkiv region; Grekovka, Novoselovskoye, Plot and Stelmakhovka in Luhansk and Well and Torsk in the Donetsk region;
- in the direction of Bakhmut – from mortars, cannons and rocket artillery in the areas of Andreevka, Bakhmut, Bakhmutskoye, Belogorovka, Verkhnekamenskoye, Zelenopolye, Klishchievka, Poprosne, Razdolevka, Soledar and Yakovlevka settlements of the Donetsk region;
- in the direction of Avdeevsky – from artillery of various calibers in the areas of settlements of Krasnogorovka, Maryinka, Nevelskoye, New York and Pervomayskoye of the Donetsk region;
- in the direction of Novopavlovsk – from mortars, cannons and rocket artillery in the areas of settlements of Bogoyavlenka, Velyka Novoselka, Vremovka, Ugledar and Prechistovka of the Donetsk region;
- in the direction of Zaporozhye – from the entire spectrum of artillery in the areas of the settlements of Gulyaipolskoye, Gulyaipole, Dorozhnyanka, Zheleznodorozhnoye, Novoandreevka, Novonikolaevka, Olgovskoe and Pavlovka of the Zaporozhye region and Ilyinka and Krasnohryhorivka of the Dnepropetrovsk region;
- in the direction of Krivoy Rog – from mortars, cannons and rocket artillery in the areas of Kachkarovka, Mikhailovka and Osokorovka of the Kherson region.
In the Kherson direction, the areas of the settlements of Antonovka, Zelenovka, Nikolaevka, Kherson and Chernobaevka of the Kherson region were subjected to artillery shelling.
On the current day, Ukrainian Defense Forces missile and artillery units hit three command posts, 17 places of concentration of manpower, weapons and military equipment, five ammunition depots and three other important enemy targets.
Earlier, the General Staff announced where Russian troops could attack. The enemy is moving troops in some areas, but the Ukrainian army is taking appropriate measures.
