NATO Secretary General on missile in Poland: Not Ukraine’s fault

Initial analysis suggests it was a Ukrainian air defense missile used to shoot down a Russian ballistic missile.

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said the investigation into the explosions in Poland is ongoing and the results must be awaited. This was reported by the Interfax-Ukraine agency.

Initial analysis reportedly indicated it was a Ukrainian air defense missile used to shoot down a Russian ballistic missile.

“It’s not Ukraine’s fault. Russia bears all the responsibility because it continues the illegal war against Ukraine,” said Jens Stoltenberg after the emergency meeting of the North Atlantic Council, due to the fall of missiles on Polish territory.

Recall that on the night of November 15, two unidentified rockets fell near the village of Pshevodov, Lublin Voivodeship, on the border with Ukraine. They ended up in grain dryers. Two people died. In this regard, the Prime Minister of Poland, Mateusz Morawiecki, ordered to convene an urgent meeting of ministers who are part of the government’s power bloc.

Later, the Polish Foreign Ministry said a Russian-made rocket had landed in the country.

The Russian Defense Ministry refused to take responsibility for the shelling of Polish territory, saying that it was not their missile.

Biden suggested it could be a Ukrainian air defense missile.
