The head of the US State Department and the US Secretary of Defense are on an official visit to the Ukrainian capital.
U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken and Pentagon Chief Lloyd Austin arrived in Ukraine on an official visit. This was announced on Sunday night, April 24, by Aleksey Arestovich, adviser to the head of the Office of the President.
“Right now they are talking to the president (Vladimir Zelensky – ed.),” He noted.
It should be noted that this is the first visit of Washington’s representatives to Kyiv since the beginning of the Russian invasion – since February 24.
Earlier, negotiations in Blinken and Austin were announced by Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky. According to him, the parties plan to discuss the supply of weapons to Ukraine.
