The US Treasury has imposed sanctions against companies that manufacture and supply Iranian drones to Russia. This was announced by the Ambassador of Ukraine to the United States, Oksana Markarova.
“Today the OFAC of the US Department of the Treasury (OFAC) imposed sanctions against: drone manufacturers in Iran – Shahed Aviation Industries Research Center companies that sent drones to Russia Success Aviation Services FZC and i Jet Global DMCC criminals from PIK Wagner involved in the purchase and use of drones against Ukraine “, – said Markarova.
According to the ambassador, the sanctions apply to everything involved: from the development and production to the supply and use of Iranian drones.
“Sanctions apply to all international companies involved in the transfer of drones to the Russian Federation,” the ambassador said.
Earlier, Iran admitted that it had indeed supplied drones to Russia, but according to Iranian officials, this was done before the start of a full-scale war by the Russian Federation against Ukraine. The President of Ukraine said that the words of the Tehran official were lies. It was then reported that some of the downed Iranian drones were produced after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine began.
