The collaborators actively helped the invaders and took the initiative, the investigators found.
Law enforcement officials detained two collaborators in the city of Izyum – the “director” and his “deputy” at the utility company. This was announced by the head of the Investigation Department of the GUNP in the Kharkiv region, Sergei Bolvinov, on Facebook on Monday, November 14.
The police discovered that two men, residents of Izyum, during the occupation, voluntarily agreed to manage the municipal enterprise “Izium City Improvement”.
The police collected a lot of evidence and testimony from the residents – knowing that the collaborators actively helped the invaders and took the initiative. They were informed about the suspicion under the article on collaborative activities (part 5 of article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The article provides for imprisonment for five to ten years with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for 10 to 15 years and with or without confiscation of property.
