The lack of drugs affects elective surgeries – they have to be postponed indefinitely.
The sanctions have caused severe shortages of drugs in Russia. This resulted in the postponement of planned operations for an indefinite period. This was reported by the Main Directorate of Intelligence (GUR) of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine on Sunday, November 13.
The military of the Russian Federation is actively discussing the order of the Russian Ministry of Health, according to which all regions of Russia are obliged to create an emergency stock of medicines within four months.
The appearance of such an order can be due to several reasons. In particular, the impact of international sanctions on the economy. The pharmaceutical industry of the Russian Federation cannot ensure the production of sufficient quantities of the necessary drugs. In Russia, today there is no production of modern medicines at all.
The supply of medicines from other countries may also stop due to the increase in the intensity of the conflict, increasing the sanitary losses of the invaders.
Russian surgeons admit that the supply of drugs has been greatly reduced. No stock recovery. The shortage prompts a significant increase in prices for medicines.
The approved calendar schedules for carrying out planned operations had to be radically changed – they were postponed for an indefinite period. Assistance is planned to be provided only to patients who require immediate surgical intervention.
As you know, Serbia refused to impose sanctions against Russia because of the war against Ukraine, despite the fact that this country aims at European integration. President Vučić said he would join European sanctions if “the sword of Damocles hangs over Belgrade.”
